Laos Holidays
Choosing to make your holiday in Laos can be an exciting experience – not only does the country offer a deep cultural history with the strong ties it has to Buddhism, but it is also filled with beautiful lush scenery that soothes the eye and really helps you relax on your holiday like you deserve.
If you are into nature sights, try taking a hike in the mountains of northern Laos. You could even get to stay around with the local residents for a little while if you wish, but make sure you’re respectful and you’ll be treated with a great deal of hospitality.
There’s also a wildlife preserve, the Luang Nam Koi which spans over several thousand square kilometers of forest with various rare species of animals (including birds), plus a number of authentic tribal villages with people still living in them by their primitive lifestyles.
The Golden City Temple – Wat Xieng Thong – is one of the best-known monasteries in Asia, and the most famous one in Laos. Gold has been used very generously in the detailing of this temple, especially in the wall covers and the roof which is a sight of its own – grab your camera but be very careful to not offend anyone by being too obnoxious!
And for another beautiful natural sight opportunity in your holiday in Laos, try the Kuang Si Falls, dropping down on several levels surrounded by amazing green virgin forests. The pools below the falls are crystal clear and open up a great view, even from below.
You can easily get around via convenient walkways, and make sure you do not stray too far away from them as the place can be quite dangerous to the inexperienced tourists – always follow your tour guide and do as they say to stay safe and get the best experience.
